Welcome reader,

I am so excited that you are here to learn more about me!

As a baby I was abandoned at one month old in China. After being abandoned I was found by someone and they took me to an orphanage. I lived in the orphanage for nine years without ever knowing who my birth parents were. At the age of nine, I was adopted by a family who lived in Hope Michigan. For the first year things were going fine except the fact that I didn’t speak any English. After the first year things in my adopted home start to go downhill. It went downhill to the point where I felt like a suicidal prisoner. I lived with them for 6 years.

At age 15 I was taken out of my adopted home and lived with a couple who become my guardians until I was 18. That was when I started going to church and after 3 months. I decided to get baptized and become a follower of Jesus. After getting baptized I had hope for my future. I continued to go to church, and finish high school. I graduated high school and then went to college. First, I started off at the Mid Michigan college where I ran cross country for them. While going there I also co-op at Dow Chemical Company. After graduating there with an associates degree, I went to Saginaw Valley State University. I went there and graduated with a bachelor degree in exercise physiology. I continued my co-op job and then got another part time job towards the end of my college career as a home health aide.

Since my graduation at Saginaw Valley, I went on a one month mission trip to Costa Rica which was awesome. I continued to work as a home health aide and got a few other side jobs because I didn’t know if I would want to go on another mission trip. Throughout my college career and now I volunteer at my church as a Sunday school teacher and assistant. I also volunteered at camp that fosters hope for kids called Royal Family kids in the summer and during the school year. Most of these kids that come through this program have gone through some abuse. I feel like God has put me in this because I had been abused in my adopted home. My heart tells me  to go on this mission trip because I want to help those in need and have gone through hard times.
