One week down one week to go! It hasn’t been my favorite place, but I know it is important for our hearts, minds and spirits to be in the right place. We are so anxious to depart for our first country where it will be a lot warmer. It’s been freezing cold here. A typical day consists of getting up at 7am, personal devotion, breakfast, worship, session, team time (where we talk about the session). Lunch followed by personal time. Another session in the afternoon and team time afterwards. Then either team time where we work as a team to solve the activity or scenarios that we may encounter during our trip. Right before bed at 11pm we work as a team to clean up the campus.

Let me confess training camp has definitely made me not want to be here at times. As I mentioned before it’s so cold here and I’ve caught the cold and fever. Been laying in bed for three days straight. Feeling weak, hopeless with all the symptoms that I had. Also felt angry at time. I don’t get sick very often, but it seems like when I do it’s usually when I’m traveling and it’s the worst. Because of God I will overcome this sickness and be back into training prayerfully today. He tells me just to trust in Him.

The sessions and culture scenarios have been encouraging and humbling. We learned how each countries culture works and what is appropriate or what is not. How they greet people, which is way different than in the US. Some of the key takeaways from session include:

*your identity is found in Christ not of the world.
*How to share the Gospel with someone who never heard of it before.
*True humanity is realizing that God has given us the glory and talents.
*God didn’t create you for people He created you for Him.
*Forgiveness is critical; Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you.

Please pray for the training camp a lot of people have been getting sick.

I am at 54% of my fundraising goal which means I have $8775 left to raise. Please if you feel led you can click on my social bio for the donation link or message me.
