Good morning/afternoon/evening,

We got to island hop by a jet ski.

Whatever time it is for you, I hope you are doing fantastic! We were busy with ministry. Although we were busy, Caroline and I got the opportunity to get away from scheduled ministry for a few days.  We were blessed to go to Phuket and Bangkok to visit my friend from my sophomore year. Thank you Jesus! We got to do what’s called an adventure in missions or life is ministry/ ministry is life as some people call it. What this means is that whatever you do or go, you have the opportunity to share the gospel. We can also share that we follow Jesus by our actions. By living and acting according to what the scripture says. James 1:22 states that “Do not merely listen to the words, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

During our trip we got numerous opportunities to share about the mission trip that we are on and why. We also got to share Jesus through actions and building relationships with people. Some examples include talking with our taxi driver and then eventually getting to the point to ask about each other’s religious beliefs. Another example is while we were in the canoe we also got to talk with our canoe paddler and also ended on asking him about this religion and then we also got to share our Father. An example of action that I got to show is sharing my portable charger with strangers. I had to let go of worry and put my trust in them by letting them take it with them for an hour. After one hour they gave it back to me. While he was giving it back to me, I got the courage to share with him what I am doing in Thailand and that I believe in Jesus.

I think Thailand has been a season of growth for me in boldness in sharing my faith and Jesus with others. Matthew 28:19-20 reads “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Ever since after the trip I have felt more comfortable with sharing my faith and in who I believe. After getting back from the trip I got my hair cut. I was able to talk with my hairdresser and then eventually felt led to ask her about what she believes. She said she’s a Buddhist. I also got to tell her that I am a Christian who believes in Jesus. Though we had different Gods we worshiped, we were able to share why we believe in what we believe. I felt so comfortable and easy while talking to her. Just because I knew that Buddhist religion has many of the same beliefs and values as Christians. I knew this from reading a book that was written by a man who started off as a Buddhist and then eventually became a Christian. Before and until half way through the race I struggled to share my faith and that I believed in Jesus openly. Now, I have shared my faith more in Thailand than my whole entire life. Praise God! 🙏
